Humidity is an indicator of the water content in the environment, and in life, humidity often refers to air humidity. In fact, humidity comes in three basic forms: relative humidity, absolute humidity and dew point. Air humidity is a type of relative humidity. And humidity sensors measure a wider range of types, today we will learn about the special relative humidity measurement instrumentation.
In agricultural cultivation there is a special kind of humidity sensor, that is, soil moisture sensor. Soil moisture sensor measurement medium is not our common air relative humidity, but the relative humidity of the soil.
The working principle of the soil moisture sensor is to determine the soil moisture level by measuring the resistance between the two electrodes. Soil as a conductive medium between the electrodes, low water content is poor conductivity, high resistance; high water content is highly conductive, low resistance. Through this reverse correspondence, the detection of soil moisture content can be realized.
Soil moisture sensor humidity accuracy of 3% (after rate determination), the operating environment is located in the ambient temperature of 0-45 ℃. The output signals of the soil moisture sensor are 4-20mA, RS485 (Modbus-RTU protocol), 0-1VDC, 0-2.5VDC and other forms. The resolution of the soil moisture sensor is 0.1%, the protection level is IP68, and it can be buried in the soil for a long time.
Soil moisture sensors are widely used in soil and water conservation monitoring, soil hydrology monitoring, fine agricultural production, precision irrigation and other fields. Soil moisture sensors help to improve farm efficiency, increase yield and reduce waste in a complete automation solution.
