The low temperature environment has a great influence on the function and accuracy of the pressure transmitter. When the pressure of the measured medium acts on the pressure transmitter diaphragm, the pressure sensing performance of the diaphragm changes due to the drop in temperature, which affects the accuracy of the pressure transmitter performance measurement. The decrease in temperature can also easily lead to damage to the pressure transmitter.
How are pressure transmitters used at low temperatures?
Install the incubator. This method refers to the process of wrapping the pressure transmitter with an incubator and then controlling the temperature through the insulation elements inside the incubator. In this process, it is necessary to pay attention to the proper control of the power supply to ensure that the temperature in the incubator is appropriate.
Use of electric heating cables. The working principle of the electric heating cable is to wind the cable on the housing of the pressure transmitter, and then energize it, and when the current is converted into heat energy, the insulation effect of the pressure transmitter is achieved.
Heat tracing. Generally, it includes steam tracing and electric tracing. Steam tracing refers to the method of insulating a pressure transmitter by injecting hot gas such as steam through the binding of a pipe. Electric heat tracing refers to the heat dissipated through the heat tracing medium to supplement the heat loss of the heat tracing pipe, so as to achieve the effect of heat insulation of the pressure transmitter.
Generally, pressure transmitters will indicate the temperature of the working environment. The temperature and ambient temperature of the measured medium are generally -40~85 °C. Temperature compensation is -10~70°C. For example, the measurement of pressure in the medium pipeline in the cold storage environment, the temperature of the measured medium may only be about 0 degrees, and the pressure transmitter is to be installed in the cold storage, and the general temperature is about -30 °C. In this way, the temperature of the medium in the pressure transmitter is 0 °C and the ambient temperature of the pressure transmitter is -30 °C.
