As a veteran of transmitters, pressure transmitters are one of the most commonly used transmitters in our production and life. In the process of long-term use, it will encounter the condition of zero drift. This necessitates a zero-point correction of the pressure transmitter. Professional pressure transmitter calibrators combine the characteristics of different transmitters with application practices to solve the problem of zero deviation for us.
First, loosen the transmitter housing and leak out the zero and range buttons.
Second, apply “zero” pressure to the pressure transmitter and then turn the adjustment zero screw clockwise or counterclockwise with a screwdriver until the output reads 4mA.
Third, apply “full-scale” pressure to the pressure transmitter and turn the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise with a screwdriver until the output reads 20mA.
Fourth, apply 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% range pressure to the pressure transmitter, and record and check the output of the pressure transmitter respectively until all the requirements are met.
It should be noted that when adjusting the range of the pressure transmitter, it should be determined according to the specific use accuracy of the pressure transmitter.
In most cases, the user is not immediately or accurately aware that the failure of the pressure transmitter is due to the zero offset. If there are no other instruments in the field that can be accurately and directly compared with the pressure transmitter, periodic verification or sampling at span intervals is the primary way to identify the problem.
