The fluctuation of the output current of the pressure transmitter is clearly visible on the DCS display curve. When troubleshooting, you can first switch the control system to manually observe fluctuations. If the measurement curve still fluctuates frequently, it should be the process that is responsible. If the fluctuation is reduced, it may be caused by the pressure transmitter or improper tuning of the PID parameters.
The output current of the pressure transmitter fluctuates obviously, and the display is intermittent and unpresent, high and low, and the connection of the measurement loop should be checked. Carefully check whether the screws of the terminal are loose, oxidized, or corroded to cause poor contact. If there is a suspicion that there is a problem with the pressure transmitter, you can close the three-valve group or sampling valve in the state of flow or pressure, so that the transmitter can maintain a fixed differential pressure or pressure, and observe whether the output current of the transmitter is stable, if the current is still unstable, the transmitter is faulty or interfered.
The fluctuation of the output current of the pressure transmitter can also be related to its field conditions. For example, in the pressure measurement of pipelines, the pressure impulse pipeline should be checked, and the pressure transmitter should measure whether there is gas (when measuring liquids and steam) or liquid (when measuring gas) in the pressure transmitter measurement room; If the heat tracing temperature of the impulse pipe is too high or too low, the measured medium will vaporize or condense, which is one of the causes of the fluctuation of the output current of the pressure transmitter, which can be discharged through the blowdown valve or through the evacuation plug of the pressure transmitter measuring chamber. There are impurities in the impulse pipe, and the dirt appears to be blocked but not blocked, which will also cause the output current of the pressure transmitter to fluctuate, and the solution is to discharge the blowdown.
In addition to the above reasons, the fluctuation caused by the instrument problem used with the pressure transmitter cannot be ignored. For example, the failure of the power distribution and safety barrier, the large vibration of the installation specialty, and the electromagnetic interference may cause the fluctuation of the output current of the pressure transmitter.
