Level transmitters are designed for continuous measurement of changes in liquid level. Explosion-proof level transmitter is suitable for liquid level measurement in petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, pharmaceutical, water supply and drainage, environmental protection and other system industries. There are a few things to pay attention to in the process of use.
First: The explosion-proof liquid level transmitter is installed in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of GB3836.15-2017 “Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 15: Electrical Installation in Hazardous Places (Except Coal Mines)”.
Second: the explosion-proof level transmitter housing must be effectively grounded.
Third: the shell of the explosion-proof liquid level transmitter product is made of aluminum alloy, which must prevent ignition caused by impact or friction.
Fourth: When the internal parts of the explosion-proof level transmitter are damaged and need to be repaired or replaced, they need to be returned to the factory for replacement or repair.
Fifth: When the dust intrinsically safe liquid level transmitter is used in dangerous places, the shell cover of the liquid level transmitter must be tightened, in order to ensure the safety of use, the safety regulations should be strictly observed, and the level transmitter cover is absolutely not allowed to be opened when the power is on. When installing the level transmitter, ensure that the cable outlet has a good seal.
Sixth: Intrinsically safe level transmitters must be equipped with safety barriers to be used in hazardous places with explosive mixtures. The safety barrier shall comply with the provisions of GB3836.4-2010 “Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres Part 4 Intrinsically Safe Type “i””, and shall be tested by the relevant explosion-proof department and obtain the explosion-proof certificate. Installation should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of its instruction manual.
Seventh: Intrinsically safe type For the sake of safety, it should distinguish between intrinsically safe circuits and non-intrinsic safety circuits, and separate the wiring of intrinsically safe circuits from the wiring of other electrical circuits. The power transformer supplying power to the safety barrier shall meet the requirements of Article 8.1 of GB3836.4-2010 standard.
Eighth: The parts not mentioned and the parts with incomplete instructions for the use of explosion-proof level transmitters should be implemented in accordance with the relevant national regulations.
