Explosion-proof sensor is one of the more special sensors among many sensors, in fact, there are many forms of explosion-proof sensors, and users can choose the corresponding explosion-proof form of sensors according to their working conditions.
Intrinsically safe type “i”. It refers to a circuit in which the electric spark and thermal effects generated under normal operation or specified fault conditions cannot ignite the specified explosive gas or vapor under specified test conditions. The intrinsically safe parts of intrinsically safe devices and associated devices are divided into two types: IA and IB. IA: refers to electrical equipment that works normally + one fault + any combination of two faults can not cause ignition. IB: refers to intrinsically safe electrical equipment that cannot cause ignition under normal operation + one fault condition.
Flameproof type “D”. Electrical equipment with flameproof housing. Flameproof sensors are capable of withstanding internal explosions of flammable mixtures that have entered the interior of the enclosure without damage, and will not ignite an externally explosive atmosphere formed by one or more gases or vapors through any joint or hole in the housing.
Increased safety type “e”. It means that no arcing, sparks will be generated under normal operating conditions. Electrical equipment is protected against explosion-proof types of dangerous temperatures, arcing and spark possibilities that may occur in its internal and external components by taking some additional measures to improve its safety. It does not include equipment that generates sparks or arcs under normal operating conditions.
Oil-filled type “O”. It refers to an explosive mixture in which all or part of the components are immersed in oil so that the equipment cannot ignite above the fuel surface or outside the casing.
Sand-filled type “Q”. The shell is filled with sand material so that the arc, propagating flame, overheating of the shell wall or the surface of the sand material under the specified conditions of use cannot ignite the surrounding explosive mixture.
Cast type “M”. The equipment or its components are poured in a casting agent so that it cannot ignite the surrounding explosive mixture under normal operation and approved overload or recognized failure.
Seventh: composite type. It refers to a collection of explosion-proof methods.
